Linnaeus University (Swedish: Linnéuniversitetet) is a modern public university located in Småland, Sweden, formed in 2010 by the merger of Växjö University and Kalmar University. Named after Carl Linnaeus, the founder of modern taxonomy, who was born in Småland, the university aims to carry on his scientific spirit.

As a young comprehensive university, its most distinctive feature is its dual-campus model: the main campuses are located in Kalmar and Växjö. The Växjö campus is renowned for its humanities and social sciences, boasting picturesque lakeside scenery; the Kalmar campus focuses on natural sciences and maritime sciences, situated near the Baltic Sea and steeped in history.
